Volunteer Info

Below please find information related to each volunteer area.  Each Event/Day contains a breakdown of volunteer requirements.

Saturday, Car Club Day

  1. Gate Guard Volunteer 1 : Sunday 7am- 3pm (for infil & exfil)
  2. Receiving Tent Flagger 1A: If Preregistered, proceed to Registration tent & pick up dash card and Area Assignment. Otherwise Park in designated area and walk to tent to pay
  3. Receiving Tent Volunteer 2: Handles checking of registered cars from list. Sunday 7am- 11:30am
  4. Receiving Tent Volunteer 3: Hands out Parking Space number (Window Cling, Card, 8X11 paper sight Class Letter & parking Space Number (A-1, B-4, etc): Sunday 7am- 11:30am
  5. Receiving Tent Volunteer 3A: Takes payment for Drive up cars
  6. Volunteer Flagger 4: This Volunteer only required if we move Parking A-F up the road (left at Y) 7am - 11:30am
  7. Volunteer Flagger 5: Directs them to the left at the Y to the showfield. 7am - 11:30am
  8. Volunteer Flagger 6: Directs cars to the right and points to Area entrances 7am - 11:30am
  9. Volunteer Flagger 7: Directs Cars to Left for Gate I; To the Right for Gate L (so they do not pass the entrance if the Parking volunteers are busy) Otherwise Class G & H are directed to continue left at Y, while Class J is directed right at the Y 7am - 11:30am
  10. Volunteer Flagger 8: Ensures that any Gate H or Gate J cars are directed left of right, respectively so that they do not pass their display area 7am - 11:30am
  11. Volunteer Flagger/ Greeter 9: Greets anyone in line at Info/Registration Line, Answers any questions from people stoped in car 7am - 10am
  12. Info Registration Volunteer 10: This may need to be a Greenbrier employee to sell programs, etc 7am-5pm. Needs shifts
  13. Info Registration Volunteer 11: This may need to be a Greenbrier employee to sell programs, etc 7am-5pm. Needs shifts
  14. Volunteer Flagger 12: Redirects anyone to the correct class parking area that may have been misdirected. 7am - 11:30am
  15. Volunteer Flagger 13: 7am - 11:30am
  16. Volunteer Flagger 14: 7am - 11:30am
  17. Volunteer Flagger 15: 7am - 11:30am
Parking Area Staging Volunteers: IDEALLY should  have show car staging/parking experience.  Totally required: 23 Volunteers (Some may be from the Clubs)
  • A: Ferrari Club: 2 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 8am
  • B: Sporting Club:  2 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 8am
  • C: German Cars: Porsche & Mercedes:  2 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 9am
  • E: Mon Valley Sports Car Club: 2 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 9am
  • F: Unregistered Cars 2: 2 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 9am
  • G: AACA Member Cars: 2 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 9am
  • H: British & Italian: 2 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 9am
  • I: Greenbrier Staff 1: 2 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 9am
  • J: Viper Display: 2 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 9am
  • K: Mopar Club: 1 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 9am
  • L: Unregistered Cars 1: 3 Parking Volunteers: 7:30- 11:30am
  • O: Overflow Parking: 3 Parking Volunteers: 8:30am- 11:30am
WE need to PRINT out an 8-1/2" X 11" paper with all of the letters and numbered spaces & Areas.  eg A-1, A-2,... large block letter to put under windshield wiper.

  • A: Exotic Sports Cars: 1946 to 1984: 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am; 8 cars
  • B: Pre-War Production Cars: 1916 to 1942: 2 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am; 5 cars
  • C: Brass Era Cars: 1895 to 1915: 2 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am 3 cars
  • D: Display Cars (not judged): 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am: 6 cars
  • E: Foreign Sports Cars : 1946 to 1984: 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am: 12 cars
  • F: Race Cars: 1900 to present: 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am 6 cars. Require Tow or Push?
  • G: Classic Cars: 1925 to 1948: 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am; 8 cars
  • H: Preservation Cars, up to 1984: 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am; 6 cars
  • I: Post-War Production Cars: 1946 to 1984: 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am; 10 cars
  • J: Viper Display: 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am
  • K: Muscle Cars 1961 to 1984: 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am
  • L: American Sports Cars: 1946 - 1984: 3 Parking Volunteers 7am - 9:30am: 10 cars
​The following areas may be a volunteer with a sign that has the area letter on it. Or it could be a sign that is posted at the beginning and end of each parking area.

The Following are needed from 2:30 ~ 5pm for the Concours Awards Presentation
  1. Awards Ceremony Volunteer 18: To Direct Concours Winners Cars; 2:30 - 5pm
  2. Awards Ceremony Volunteer 19: To Direct Concours Winners Cars; 2:30 - 5pm
  3. Awards Ceremony Volunteer 20: To Direct Concours Winners Cars; 2:30 - 5pm
  4. Awards Ceremony Volunteer 21: To Direct Concours Winners Cars; 2:30 - 5pm
  5. Awards Ceremony Volunteer 22: To Direct Concours Winners Cars; 2:30 - 5pm
  6. Awards Ceremony Volunteer 23: IDEALLY SOMEONE WITH CONCOURS EXPERIENCE: To Direct Concours Winners & pre-Stage them for awards stage Cars; 2:30 - 5pm
  7. Awards Ceremony Volunteer 24: IDEALLY SOMEONE WITH CONCOURS EXPERIENCE: To Direct Concours Winners & pre-Stage them for awards stage Cars; 2:30 - 5pm
  8. Awards Ceremony Volunteer 25: THIS MAY BE  SECURITY GUARD OR GREENBRIER EMPLOYEE: Acts as Security to keep unofficial photography behind the photography line
  9. Concours Stage Manager 26: Tom Bungay: Guides Car to pre-postioned spots on stage.  Sets Judges in place for photo. 2:30 ~5pm
  10. Concours Flagger 28: Directs Spring House Award winners back to showfield
